Memory seats

Post by Bluestaffy09 » Mon Aug 03, 2015 3:56 pm

Ok guys every time I unlock my x5 (02) the seats and mirrors keep moving. How do I set it all up so that it stays where I want it all the time?

to set the memory seats position the seat as you would like then press the memory button and then the number you want that to be set to (1,2 etc).

to test it took the setting, move the seat again then press the number you selected and it should return back to your settings.

Yeh I've done this but as soon as I lock the car it moves back to the old position, it's like the seat is programmed to the key

It probably is, as that is coding option, so that each person with their own key automatically has the correct settings for them as the car is unlocked

from the wonderous world of google i keep coming up with the fact that only the dealer can program this which, if true imo is stupid as that means only the initial purchaser would be set up.
Programming the keys to remember the last seat and mirror position is done at the dealer

The coding is not permanent it can be changed by the dealer. It will be possible too in PROGMAN, and possibly INPA - not had cause to look for this though
