Hi guys, new X5 owner here from the North West (Merseyside).
I actualy picked it up around 2 months ago but have been too busy to join up and say hello.
Anyway, i picked up a mint 2011, one owner 3.0d xdrive , with 26k on the clock from Stockport BMW. Managed to secure it before it even landed on the forecourt as the spec, mileage and price was just right.
Its a huge change from my last car (M135i) which was an absolute pocket rocket but there just wasn't enough space when we took the baby away for a weekend so unfortunatly it had to go. I've always loved the X5 but always thought it would be to expensive to buy, run and more importantly insure with my age (28) but it's not too bad.
Ive had a great first fe months but i am contemplating changing the RFT's when they tyres are due for a change but as part of the deal it had brand new tyres out on so it will be a while off yet. My only other options at this stage are to swap the grills fogs gloss black but with the ammount of chrome on the exterior im wondering if matt black will look as good as standard. I'm also looking on side running boards, whats people's thoughts on them as you don't seem to see as many X5's wi the side boards as previous models.
Anyway, if you see me about give me a wave.
Apologise for the state of the path, i was to excited to be out in the X5 the garden was neglected for a month ah ha
