Doesn't look like 160W to me, looks like clever marketing spin and their website is talking trash! The reason for the dimming is mandated in the car lighting regs. Not dimming them means they are non compliant. Nothing to do with heat at all.
Each to their own, but it's still just 8 standard CREE LEDs which can be bought for a lot less money! Getting the right light output with one is what is needed. And the pics are STILL in the shade - which is telling IMHO!
People pay way too much money for the 'LUX' brand - same as we all do for BMW :-[ O:-)

Makes me laugh with comments like this. I've tried pretty much most of these 'CREE' 40w leds on fleabay. None of them did what the LUX 160s did. And that was to light up the outer ring at almost the same intensity. But hey we all knock something down before we try it first simply because you won't part your money its written off.
What do I care anyway, I've just retrofitted BMW LED Adaptive headlights
