Morning all,
I recently purchased a 2011 40d msport from a dealer which had had new alloys and tyres. Does anyone know what the standard sizes are for msports? Mine are all the same size (19" 255 i think, i'm not near it to check today) but it looks like the rears would / should have been wider as standard?

Rears on the E70 are wider than fronts,I would check and go back to stealers and make a fuss!

If they're 20's it should be 315/35 R20 for rears and fronts 275/40 R20

i'll check when i'm back this evening. i'd assume BMW put wider wheels at the back for a reason. but i'm now thinking they put non msport wheels on as they are 19". which tbh i dont mind as i'm sure the ride is better for it. plus they are new and unmarked with all new OEM tyres. I feel a bit cheated if they should have put wider ones on the back but didn't to save a small amount of money.

3.0d had pattern 223 as standard wheels for a time (but not sure of dates) - 255x50x19 x 107V on the front and 285x45x19 x 111V on the rears.

Hi they are normally front 255 /50/19 ,  rears 285/45/19 . If they are genuine BMW wheels they usually have a number near the centre of the wheels stamped on the outside . They did a square set up for some Se versions but they are mostly used for winter wheels as they give better traction being all the same width .
  Are they in a long way back from the rear wheels arches ? if you get a chance to take the rears off check that the offset is et48 as this will tell you that it is a square set up , if they are et21 then they are more than likely off an X6 and have been rebored to fit !
Can you post a picture of the wheels ? 

Checked last night. Fronts are 255 and rears 285 so it appears like they are as standard. Although i wouldnt trust a dealer it would be strange to put wrong size wheel on back if further work required.
Still trying to get the missing car mat out of them is hard enough!
