Detachable towbar not detaching

Can't find any manuals for my towbar but think the lock is knackered. Have tried to unlock it with the key and it won't turn. Does anyone know how to remove these tow bars? Many thanks

Guessing the locking mechanism is shagged then. Won't turn and can't now remove it. It has a Thule cap but the key and lock say brink...

I don't suppose you have a receipt for the towbar installation? As Brink offer a 5 year guarantee if fitted by an approved partner.

Have you tried pulling the knob outwards and then turning it?
That's how the one on mine worked

Ooh. Might try that. It does have a little diagram on the knob saying in but will try anything.
