Yeah then this is the same unit I have purchased, it pairs with the Android unit but when you run Torque after telling it which OBD it says unable to retrieve any data.

I have since purchase a further 3 OBD connectors and only my USB with BMW Scanner work the Bluetooth seems to fail.

Any ideas where I may be going wrong?

If your Headunit is finding and linking with the Bluetooth Dongle OK, it should be automatic if the Dongle is plugged in. Then I would look at the Torque App, has it installed correctly?

Just a thought do you have your phone connected as well? If so try it with your phone off. While your Bluetooth may register a number of devices it is a simple system cant handle simultaneous transmissions.

STEP 1: Plug ELM327 Bluetooth into Car's OBD Port
STEP 2: Turn ON Car Ignition. This is one step before engine is powered.
STEP 3: Pair ELM327 Bluetooth
On your device — go to "Settings" > "Bluetooth". Connect to Bluetooth signal with name similar to these examples: OBDII, ELM327, VLink, Can OBDII, etc.

NOTE: It can take up to 30 seconds for Bluetooth signal to show.

Pair code: 1234

If above doesn't pair, then: 0000

STEP 4: Configure OBD App To Detect Bluetooth
Launch your OBD App,Go to Settings and configure it to look for Bluetooth.

STEP 5: Connect To Your Car
OBD App should now successfully connect to your vehicle.

NOTE: If OBD App still doesn't detect the Bluetooth connection — then force quit the app and launch it again. (To force quit inside Android, use "Task Manager".)
