BMW X5 Low Miles Great Condition Full BMW Service History

4.4i sport.

This is my 3rd X5. I went for the 4.4 as it does not actually get much worse MPG than my diesel (I'm getting 23mpg vs 27mpg in the diesel) plus you don't have to worry about replacing the turbo as you would in the diesel.

First registered on 05/04/2004. The first Owner was BMW. I am the 4th owner. Was has sold as an approved used car on 26/03/12. I have all invoices since this date, all work done by BMW main dealer.

The car has covered 68,000 miles.

The specification of the car is as follows:

Automatic transmission
TV (analogue so not much use now but I believe you can buy a digital cable)
Self levelling suspension
Xenons
Air Conditioning
Sunroof
Parking sensors front and rear
Electric seats with driver memory
Cruise Control
Bluetooth
Satellite Navigation System
6 CD Changer
Rear Privacy Glass
Auto dip interior mirror
Rain sensing wipers
Voice Control
Spare Wheel
Anthracite headlining
Headlight Cleaning System
Sports Seats
Retractable Load Floor
Electric folding mirrors

The car is complete with all service books, owners manuals, both sets of keys. It’s also supplied with the original boot privacy divider, a BMW loadspace net and a BMW loadspace liner.

The mats were replaced in 2014 with OEM BMW items so they are all in excellent condition.

It has FULL BMW main dealer service history. The service book is fully stamped. I have all the original BMW service invoices during my ownership and from the previous owners.

Services done at:

14,465 miles
28,063 miles
32,517 miles
44,589 miles
57,263 miles

Brake Fluid Changed at:

14,465 miles
28,063 miles
38,980 miles
57,263 miles

The last service done was an inspection 2 (the big one) so the next service due will just be an oil service. It will be due in around 5,000 miles.

Tyres are Michelin Diamaris all round. Fronts have lots of life and I only replaced the rears around 1000 miles ago!

The Sat Nav is running a 2009 disc.

The MOT is valid until 22/03/16.

The car is in excellent condition & I very much doubt you will find another in the same condition for this age/mileage.

Private Registration has been taken off. Will be sold on '04' plate.

There are a couple of minor problems. There is a small scuff on both the front and back bumpers and one of the wing mirror casings is slightly misaligned. (works correctly). There is also a very small scuff on one of the rear seats.  There are a few dead pixels on the Sat Nav screen and one of the parking sensors works intermittently so I often get the 'constant bleep'.

£7,250 ono

Any questions, please ask!

Just to slightly amend the comment about the TV.  Adding digital requires the purchase of a 'hybrid' receiver module which has both analogue and Freeview receiver tech built in.  BMW receivers from October 2004 builds onwards are hybrids so you can swap one for tother if you desire a working TV function.

Turbo failures are not that common so hardly a selling point, and normally down to bad maintenance/driving habits.......gearbox failures are much more frequent, and all models with auto boxes have those.

I doubt the seller would have been aware re the tv issue & am near certain the tuner facts as properly corrected will in themselves not be technically challenged by the OP.

As for turbo worries...I accept that poor maintenance is a significant factor for failure but I would need some convincing an 11 year old had been caused to be correctly maintained  from new. As we know the breather isn't a scheduled service item. I would be more confident buying a used 3.0d from a clued up first owner evidencing sound maintenance, ( or maybe from a subesquent owner of similar mindset who can evidence a recent replacement unit). I suspect many owners of 3.0d examples that dont live here may be uneducated re the benefits of additional care measures for turbo engines.

Fwiw - whilst 23mpg is a good combined mpg for a facelift 4.4i driven sensibly - I would be less happy if averaging no more than 27 mpg in similar conditions in a facelift 3.0d auto.

I refer to 'normally' I did not say 'every' failure is due to poor maintenance/driving style.  There will always be genuine life expired failures, as well as those it could be argued may be as a result of either BMW's or the Owners servicing decisions.  Time served failures do occur, as is likely with a V8 of the same age with its own various complexities.

Still, we're getting away from the point which is to sell this person's car.

GLWTS, the V8 is a very highly regarded engine and someone will surely want it  :D
