Brake warning

Hi guys

Somewhat perplexed I have a brake warning that is telling me to go to the dealers and get my E70 brakes checked , I've had a quick check through the spokes of the wheels and all pads have loads of life left in them. The warning is not specific enough to say if its pads or whatever or if its front or rear. There are no noticeable brake issues. I've purchased 2 new brake sensor wires thinking it may be that.
I'm just looking for any ideas before I start pulling the wheels off and perhaps digging around unnecessarily.
Many thanks
Stu
Update: Wife just informed me that the wording of the warning is "brake pads worn"

Could just be a loose or dirty connection.

Wheels off and check the  plugs in the wheel wells as well as the loop on the pads.

Then obviously put the wheels back on afterwards!!!
:P

Cheers for that steamy rotter
In a bit of fix now though!  Got the wheels off but I'm not sure how to refit them :))

Update on brake issue,
New pads purchased in readiness for them being required, on removal old pads had loads of wear left, as it was I fitted the new ones anyway! Replaced the brake sensor and got my friendly local indy garage to reset the warning and all good. This leads me to one conclusion, that the issue could have been resolved by getting my indy garage to do the OBD reset 1st then if the fault recurred then replace the sensor! D'oh!
Ah well you live and learn, unfortunately I'm out £75 for the pads sensor wire and reset, but the constant alarm binging away with the dire consequences message was getting somewhat tiresome so at least that's fixed. Now onto the next issue with my reverse mirror motor, seems to be never ending !
