Facelift E53 Halos

Post by Jag530isport » Thu May 28, 2015 9:57 am

Hi guys

One of the halos have gone on my 4.4i sport facelift and rather than replacing it with an expensive part from the stealers I was looking at upgrading from the yellow light to white light halos to give the front a bit of a lift.

I've seen a few kits but was wondering would someone be able to recommend one?

Thanks,
Jag

I am also interested in updating my headlights, and similarly a part of my headlight has become detached internally.

What do you mean....gone?

If it's the bulb its pennies and most opt for an LED plug in bulb replacement which is whiter than the naff bulb. Perhaps not peircing white but white all the same

Do a simples search on here for cree led

Many a post about them.
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

IIRC they're all much of a muchness as the limiting factor is more the light bar halo itself

My cheapish Ebay LEDs look....well white

I found a pair of 25watt Cree LED units for my 2004 halo's and they look pretty good in daylight too...
Flea-Bay for about £20+ each.

Have you got a pic of them on the car and possibly a link to the eBay item?

No link information... bought them 6 months ago...

Simply search  "BMW 2004 facelift Halo CREE LED"

The £ price will be half from China, but unless you can find the idential item from thr UK - dont trust the iffy Chinese descriptions.

They need to be at least 20 watts each & have a chunky heat sink.
Personally, id buy them from the UK only if possible to get the proised Light output.

When you fit them, be carefull, the output is so bright & concentrated you will do eye damage if you peek into them when powered up...
