my wireless router gave up working, for the past week its been on/off till yesterday when it gave up, even plugged in to the router the internet didnt work, anyway i had alot of invoices to get out before i go away so this morn nipped to maplin and bought a £35 router, brought it home and set it up, rang talk talk for some code or other and they said they would send me a new fastest one they do but in 5 days, so i set the maplins one up, anyway im back online but its slow, very slow compared to before,  before i clicked and instantly there, now i click a forum title and literally 10 seconds or so to load,
is this my chasty router?

tbh its got me by for the bills to be sent out so can sort at a later date

ADSL over copper I assume with those speeds.

So, you have your filter connected in the socket, right?

All other (used) telephone sockets have a filter as well?

Also - swap the filter as well, they can go wrong.

For ADSL that is about as good as you can get.

You saved a BT callous fee for that, they would definitely have charged you to fix it when TalkTalk finally passed it to them when they exhausted trouble shooting options.
