Help - headlight lens going weird

Hi all,

Can anyone advise me on how to deal with this. (see image below)
My driver's side headlight has started going weird at the top on one side. I suspect it is from cleaning products etc over the years.
When I apply a product like Armorall it hides it quite well - but is there a product that will stop it or get rid of it for good?

Any help appreciated.

Matt

This is a popular issue and tgwre are several threads on this already this year.

There are several potential causes of this...
Possibly over-spray of engine lacquer
UV attack on the plastic
Acid spray from the Tesco's car wash team
Or just bad luck...

Either way, get yourself to theblocal motor store and buy a lens buffing kit from Maguires...
Either as a bottle of goo that looks like T-Cut snot, as a kit with a buffing tool to fit to a drill & assorted sanding pads...

If you use the drill buffer, ensure you fit a few layers of masking tape over the car paint work or the cutting paste will cut thru the body work paint.
This lens rejuvinator stuff WILL fix this issue.... and will require some elbo grease...
Expect to spend at least an hour on each lens.
