Post by bright » Sat May 02, 2015 1:48 pm

Hello, first of all I am very happy to have found this forum.
I am from Portugal and looking to buy next month an X5 [year 2000-2004] budget [up to 12.000€ / 8500£]
X5 owners please share your personal experience and opinions on the following topics:

QUESTIONS:

1 - [3.0i]  vs  [3.0d]  vs  [4.4i]
2 - FUEL  -  LIABILITY/ENGINE  -  OVERALL DRIVING EXPERIENCE

Also if you want to give some extra help please feel free have a look at this link [it is from Portugal, prices are in euros]  ;)

Mail me privately and swap mobile number / email addresses

Happy to share what I've learned, and maybe some pointers based on what I've learned over the last 12 months of X5's.  :D

European market generally is more expensive than what we pay here for rhd vehicles. Check out lhd cars for sale here, they are no cheaper and sometimes more expensive than rhd counterparts

Hi Shadrack...
No problem sharing info, but not posting my personal mail for the world to see & abuse.

Id love to paste lots of pics here, but it requires software loadups & is a total bloody pain to load pics.
And
We are able to learn more from 5 mins on the fone compared to dozens of mails and hours typing.

If some one is able to load pics for me... share an email address, then I will gladly forward the info.

3.0i sport is awesome, reliable , fast and fun driving experience. Get one and live with 20mpg mostly urban. 26mpg on tour.
