Hi All
I am a new member of your forum, and would be grateful if anyone could offer any advice, I have a 54 plate X3 2.5i, and the sunroof does not work at all, the glass or the roof lining
When I operate the switch there is no sound at all, also the rear wash / wipe does not work, can any one help please

Not had an X3 so hoping this data is right. Check the fuses in the front (it's above the glovebox) and rear (right side cubby I think). Sliding roof on fuse #58 -5A & #61 -20A. Rear wash wipe could be in Fuses 8 -30A, 51 -30A or 55 -20A.
There
should be a fuse card to tell you what is on what somewhere in the box itself. If I'm reading it correctly, all front fuses are numbered below 99 and all rears above 100.
Oh, and
aboard

Is yours the full panoramic roof?
If so be careful as there may have been a problem with it closing so the previous owner might have removed the fuse (there is a video online showing how to close if this is the situation).
Rear wash wipe again the X3 washer hose can come apart inside the car and soak the carpet (mine did this) so to save costs some owners remove the pipe from the washer box.
Your's may not have had any of these and it could just be as X5sport says fuses.

Hi
Thanks for your reply, I have (I think) checked the fuses for the rear wash/wipe, and they seemed ok, so not sure what else it could be

Is it the arm or fluid side not working?

Neither the arm or the fluid work, as I say I think I,ve Checked the fuse, which seem ok so wonder if there is a separate relay ???
As for the sunroof nothing works at all, no message on the dash, no sound of a motor trying to operate etc. the roof is fully closed, but the head lining is opened fully ?? again could this be fuses and or relay switch
Unfortunately, the is no fuse diagram present in the car

Found this
thread for the wiper arm. With the washer also out it might be a switch issue if the pump is on a different circuit.
Never known any BMW to throw up a message about sunroof faults. Can't help with a relay, but you might get a clue from RealOEM as it holds a complete parts database updated to 03/15.

Hi
Thanks for your help, maybe I am wrong about the message on the dash, I watched an American guy on youtube explaining how to manually close a sunroom etc, and thought he reffered to a symbol on the dash :-[

U.S. Spec cars are different. They have to be told of everything otherwise they sue! They even have to be told that the driver cannot leave the seat with cruise control on. It's not an autopilot!!
