Hi everyone
Just thought I'd drop in and say hello as I've taken delivery of a rather scrumptious 40d MSport in Pyrite Brown with Ivory Dakota.

The last BMW i owned was an E39 530iA Sport in Velvet Blue but then switched to the dark side of Ingolstadt!

Here's some pics of the 530:

Thanks, originally had my heart set on black but saw this and was instantly swayed.

Saw it for the first time in the flesh when I went to pick it up and I'm glad I did!

Audi: over 7 years I've been through an RS4, S6 V8, 2 x RS6, and most recently an S6 5.2 V10 that I kept for the past 3 years. What a car!

Certainly a nice selection of cars you've had there.  Be interesting to see how you find the X experience.

It's obviously very different and a change of driving styles is the biggest change. I can't plant it round bends and accelerate away how I used to which I am missing. On the flip side I've adjusted well and the ambience of the cabin makes up for some of the compromises.

In a straight line it's plenty quick and deceptively so. Overall no regrets at all. I've had an XC90 and an ML so not completely foreign to the 4x4 experience.

Very impressed so far but it's only been 5 days and I'm obsessed with trying to keep it spotless and away from other cars!!
