If the tank is fitted with flexible pipes, you can release the securing bolts and lift tank up and block it( DO ENSURE NO LPG IN TANK-- it is bl--dy heavy with lpg in it).
Then should be enough room to change.
Also DO NOT shut tailgate with battery disconnected, you will not be able to open it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have solid pipewalls they have to be disconnected before lifting tank and it is a pitta of a job.
As an idea , my car had solids and I did not know and cracked one lifting without undoing, have since fitted flexies, cost about £100 inc labour.

Cheers Lez think my tank has the flexi pipe fited, did make the mistake of trying to lift the tank but the remembered that we filled it up 3 days ago.
Now will have to wait till the tank is empty to remove that battery.
