Helppppp

Post by subsea » Wed Apr 08, 2015 3:19 pm

Have bought an x5 back in december. engine was burning oil and a misfire on cylinder 1 and 2. bought and fitted a recon engine and the misfire on 1 and 2 is still there with lilt to no power at all from the engine... changed plugs and coils around and the fault is still there. change the injectors around as well just in case but the fault remains.

Any ideas guys ???

I'd say check the wiring harness first.
You could use a spare injector and coil pack to test that.

Any error codes??
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Do the coils have to be recoded if they've been changed?
If so & you haven't done this it could be your problem!  8)
