VW Golf GTi (DSG) - 2005 £6500 NOW SOLD

Post by AnilS » Sun Apr 05, 2015 9:26 am

NOW SOLD VW GOLF GTi MK5 DSG (2005)

One Previous Owner
Registered 8th June 2005
Full Main dealer service history
Standard unmodified car

My wife has owned this vehicle over 5 years (bought in February 2010) and purchased from a pampering first owner. This is the longest she’s ever owned any car, as she loves it that much.
This UK car is HPI clear. I have the report from when I carried out the check at my purchase.

MOT until 29th June 2015.
Road Tax irrelevant under the DVLA rules.

I am a member of several car clubs but specifically for this marque, MK5GolfGTI and GolfGtiforum.

This is her daily car, but one of three she uses at home so not used extensively as is testament to its low mileage for its age.
This has and is, a non-smoker’s car and no pets have frequented its interior.

Mileage (verified) is at 66,600 miles. It has averaged barely 6500 miles per year.
The car has been predominately driveway parked and parked in a secure private car park when at work.

On average, in normal traffic it achieves 28mpg but on a motorway cruise, it will easily achieve 35 mpg. This car has never been raced and she is a very conservative driver.

EQUIPMENT

As detailed;

· Diamond Black (Pearlescent) Metallic paint
· DSG gearbox
· Xenon lights
· Full leather interior
· Heated front seats (5 stage) and height adjustable for both driver and passenger
· Full Remote central locking with window up/down access on fob.
· 2 remote keys.
· Heated (and folding) door mirrors
· 18” Monza Alloy wheels (with locking wheel nuts)
· Original car mats (new set also included still in pack)
· Complete tool/jack kit
· Dual Climate Control
· Trip computer
· Factory fit Rear Parking Sensors
· Auto Dimming Interior Rear view mirror
· 6 disc auto-changer (in dash)
· Winter Pack (Headlamp wash and heated seats)
· Lighting Pack (Puddle lights and footwell lights)
· Factory fit Alarm and Immobiliser
· Auto lights and wipers
· Sports suspension
· Front and rear fog lights
· Front x 4 and seat airbags
· Traction control (ESP)
· Tyre pressure monitor
· Trip computer

EXTERIOR

The car is approaching 10 year old, it would be no surprise that it has the odd mark and stone chips, consummate with age.
That said, I do take pride on the appearance and presentation of my cars.

INTERIOR

Again, taking into account age, the interior is in excellent condition.
Air conditioning (Auto Climate control) blows ice cold.
The interior is fully intact and everything operates as it should.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The 6-speed automatic transmission is very smooth and was fully serviced last year.
She is still driving the car so its mileage will creep up slowly.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

Genuine 18” Alloy wheels have been previously powder coated but would benefit from a refurb.
All alloys are shod in Uniroyal Rainsport 3s. All have more than 6mm (new tyres come with 8mm).
The genuine, spare space saver is unused and in perfect condition.
Brakes work excellently. All brakes were replaced last year.

HISTORY FILE

I am fastidious about keeping records, and as such, I have all the literature and documentation that came with the car.
I also have all the old MOTs and tax discs.
I have every invoice of work carried out on this car.
The car has been serviced according its on-board service indicator for all services and brake fluid changes. It is due a service now (and has been booked in) but new owner can get this done and price negotiated.

All handbooks/manuals are present in the VW wallet.
Service book is fully stamped.

MOT HISTORY

All online but I have all copies of certificates. The car can be freshly MOT’d under negotiation.
All original (2) remote keys are present and working, one still in its original (untouched) leather holder.

The car is polished at least every 2 months.

A RELUCTANT SALE

This is an extremely reluctant sale as my wife is very fond of it. It’s been a brilliant car but it is time for someone else to cherish this car and hopefully lash as much TLC on it as I have done over the years.
She will be replacing this car for a newer one.

Please ask for any further questions you have, in case I have missed something and I will gladly oblige.

Taking into account all of the above, I am only asking £6500 for this low mileage example.

Collection from Bromsgrove and payment via bank transfer or banker's draft.

Pictures to follow.

Couple of things to note;
Mileage is not 66,600 but lower at 66,400.
Also factored into price is the Cambelt is due. (Previously done at 24k Miles)
New car mats (still in packaging) are in the boot.
Number plate may be interesting to some

Please ask any questions in case I have missed anything.

Thanks  :D

Fresh pictures as from today and a quick detail

Buyers will struggle to find a nicer/tidier non abused daily driven example with similar age mileage for similar money and importantly from a sensible seller.

Was almost tempted by this myself

GLWTS mate :)

I can't believe the state of the alloys. You sure your Mrs drove it?  :))

It looks very nice, would love another one in the fleet but running out of space (and want a manual)  :))

I'm after a second car but all my spare funds tied up else where right now otherwise would have been an ideal purchase! Typical...a fine example [emoji106]

Thanks.

Serviced at VW today. Does not need another for another 12 months.

I was going to be cheeky and up the price because of this expenditure but the price remains the same at £6500.

Shame isn't it ?! I remember driving round in my awesome Renault 5 GT Turbo when I was 18 and paying less than a grand insurance . Feel sorry for kids these days....

Saying that , I'm 44 now and paying well over a grand for my x6 !!!!
