Sell or buy?

What options?  What spec?

Find a BMW Dealer AUC price and take £2k off it.

Need much more info.

It's to buy, privately.

Basic model, no sat nav, no parking sensors.

What options should I be looking for?

You need to get the full options list from the seller, or the last 7 characters of the VIN so that you can get the build sheet from in line resources.

What's the seller asking for it?

£12k

Apologies about the silly question, but what is in line resources? I've asked for the VIN, how can I get the spec list?

Put the last 7 characters in and you will get the details 'as built'.

I didn't even realise that any model didn't have the PDC.  Unless you intend to keep the car for a number of years I would think twice about buying a very basic X as most buyers are looking for certain options such as Sat Nav, Bluetooth, heated seats etc.  it's not that you won't be able to sell on, just very few buyers interested.

I wondered about the PDC too.  Is it not fitted, or not working?  You'll know from the build sheet.

There are better cars out there as Don says.  Selling on a 'base spec' could be a challenge.  They tend to have been company cars (low spec to avoid high BIK Tax charge) and well used so likely to have expensive wear and tear needing fixing.

Thanks for that, I've just checked spec of my m3 and it works great!

Will update this thread once I get the x5s vin.

You could enter its Reg No into webuyanycar and then add about a £grand to get a reasonable value to buy.

It should be obvious by looking at the bumpers if it had parking sensors ( I also thought they were standard) perhaps your car is an import ?

Is it white or silver!?
