BMW X4 SE

Post by Barnabuss » Fri Mar 13, 2015 3:56 pm

Hello new to this site and new to BMW just bought a BMW X4 SE picked it up last week but noticed wind noise on drivers door side when exceeding speed of 40 mph dealer ordered new door seal and has lent me a new BMW X4 M Sport but noticed same noise on this car. Is this a problem any one else has noticed. My last car was an Audi Q5 S Line Plus which I enjoyed but tested the BMW and loved it so much I had to have one. I have just read a review of the car from autocar and they state the same problem of wind noise when driving at speed so must be inherent to the model maybe BMW will do a recall to fix this ?

I now have the car back from Broad oak BMW after they have been looking at the problem for two weeks. The noise is not so bad but it can still be heard from inside the car. The garage have reported the problem to BMW Uk who are aware of the issue and are now talking to BMW Germany on how to resolve. Will keep you posted and will add some photos very soon

Welcome to the forum!

I believe the moaning comment was aimed at Sanj for his insatiable need for pics  :)
Very curious to see how the X4 compares to my X6. Have only seen a couple so far.

There is more wind noise than the X5, but you can park it in a standard parking space!
I think the car is practically invisible as not one person has commented on it over the last two months.
I do miss the e70 40d but the X4 is faster and more economical, after looking long and
hard I came to the conclusion 'you can't have it all'
