High Gloss Roof Rails Turning Blue

Post by dobbor1 » Fri Mar 13, 2015 3:29 pm

Guys,

Does anyone know why the roof rails are starting to turn blue and speckled?  Is this a fault which can be sorted under warranty or some sort of cleaner to be used?  The car is only 4 years old.

Thanks

Ok all sorted. Autoglym super resin polish got rid of it. Must be that horrible shite the hand wash fellas use in the pump spray. Might stop going there.

Had the same thing on my E53 door trims (around the glass) and polish removed it easily too- think it's Autoglym Super Resin I have too, oddly enough. Something to do with whatever the paint is methinks, my sister's E53 has exactly the same!

It's just oxidation that you're cleaning off again  :)
