Help & opinions on my E53 please...

Hi folks,
Newly, proud owner of my first X5, and so far I'm loving it!
However, it would seem that, like most people here, there are a few teething issues with buying a second-hand one.
I did a bit of research on the X5's prior to purchasing one, so I'm fairly aware (and probably a little paranoid) that I could end up spending a lot due to the myriad of issues they can have - but it didn't stop me from taking the plunge.
Basically, with the help of this forum I 'may' have diagnosed a problem with my rear sub-frame bushes.
But, I just wanted to ask your opinions on a couple of queries I have...
- I've noticed a low (quiet) clonking noise coming from the rear when I pull away, or stop. It's a little intermittent and sometimes I don't hear anything, especially if I pull away slowly.
- Also, it seems that when the roads are wet, the clunking is less frequent, if at all...?
- When I brake to a stop, as the backside sits down, sometimes there's a creaking sound, similar to what I would imagine the rear springs make when compressed slightly. Is this a different noise/issue?
- The car has only just passed it's MOT (reputable garage), so I would guess that worn bushes would have been spotted, or at least come up as an advisory?
Apart from the clonking noise in the back, is there another way that 'I' can test to see if it's the rear sub-frame bushes?
The car is a 2003 E53 300D Auto, in immaculate condition with only 92,000k the clock.
Many thanks in advance for any help and advise offered.
