HID Halo rings?

Hey,

Recently bought a 2006 3.0d off my old man and absolutely loving it, I'm coming from the VW scene where all my cars have been scraping on the floor so it's nice to not worry about smashing my sump etc when I put my foot down :)) I have done a few small mods already (the itch was there just to make it 'mine') so far I have added matt black kidney grills, black side repeaters and LED number plate lights. Have also ordered some smoked/red tail lights, H&R blackline bolt on 25mm & 30mm spacers just waiting for them to arrive!

Right back to my original question, the halo lights have never been very bright, even with the OEM halo bulbs during the day time they were barely visible, the drivers side unit is duller still, I'm guessing an earth point or terminal needs cleaning up.. I have come across this HID Halo kit on eBay, I was wondering if anyone on here has used it? Ultimately I'd like them to be as bright as they are on the newer X5s I have seen around

Just a quick pic as everyone likes pics :P

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

:hi:

You don't have an H8 fitment so that won't help.  The kit is for the E70 series X5 onwards (late 56 plate) with HIDs fitted already.  These have the H8 angel eye lamp type.

There is as yet nothing on the market that will provide you with what you are looking for.

Hi Winter20vt, I just picked up your post on a search. Great looking X5, I have the exact same model!

Quick question, which matt black kidney grills, black side repeaters and smoked/red tail lights did you fit and are you happy? A share of the eBay/Amazon URL link would be most useful.

Also, I have fitted 20mm spacers all round and feel I could go wider on the rear. How do your 35mm rear spacers fit, do they still sit within the extended wheel arches?

Thanks very much.
