Sorry to go slightly off topic but has anybody gone from a e53 3.0d to one of these?
Is the 23d the top of the range X1? Just trying to work out how the more modern engine compares against the 6 cyl 3.0. Also can 3 little ones still fit in the back, appreciating the X5 would have more space

Hi Max we have both an E53 3.0d and a X1 2.0d , the rear seats are a bit scalloped so fitting the car seat in takes a bit of doing but the other 2 still have plenty of room , the car has a great deal of get up and go so performance won't be an issue , we average 40+ to the gallon so better on fuel . Just quite a bit lower but you can't have everything .
This car seems well speced in a nice colour , with lots of performance , economy and good handling ! Best advise try a couple first near to where you live .

Sid, thank you very much for the feedback, just the sort of info I needed. Not actively looking to change the X5 as it's a good 'un! but the Mrs has changed work location, which has a smaller tighter car park, which no doubt is going to lead to some sort of envitable parking mark by someone at some stage, so was just thinking something smaller might be better.
I wonder is swmbo would notice that I changed our sterling grey x5 for a space grey x1!!!!!  :))

This is a realy nice X1.
I can personally vouch for it, as ive done many miles in it myself , as a passenger.
We went to Le Mans Classic in it last year, among other trips.
My mate looks after his cars very well.
Hes only selling as hes just got himself a X5 40D.
Somebody will be very happy with it , im sure. :) :)
