BMW OEM AV Cable Issue

Hi Guys,

hoping someone can help, i have used a bmw av cable to plug into my tv tuner so that i can then plug in headrest screens etc but for some reason when the cable is put into the loop my nav unit goes blank and only sound comes out unless i blindly navigate to the tv option at which point the screen comes back to life again.

I am using a media in motion cable not a cheap copy. any one had this issue before?

would really appreciate any help on this as the cable seems to be fine after checkng with a multimeter but only explanantion seems to be that it is faulty as without it plugged in the nav screen is fine.

Any ideas on what it could be?
