It's easy to ignore and once those member with an interest have had there questions a answered I'm sure it will tail off quickly. Have a 'leccy' section would encourage more talk.

I don't mind the discussion actually, interesting to learn something new about what is about and how it all works.

No doubt someone will buy an i3/8 before long and so an 'electric' section will appear.
The 'is my battery dying' questions should appear too once the weird error codes start to show up on dashboards. But it won't be because they're only doing short journeys as that's pretty much all that most can do - some as low as 20 miles!
DON: is that a CVT exploded image in your sig now?

i saw an i3 the othe day and to be fair it looked pretty funky design wise, but have you seen the price compared to these leaf deals the people have been getting! honestly my other half said this morn how electric would be ideal for her but also said why cant they just put the leaf style running gear into a standard looking car like her e91

He says yes with confidence, hopefully hiding the fact that I haven't got a clue. I just searched leaf images and saw this and thought, mmmm that will do.

In all honesty I preferred the i3 over the Leaf, it's a far superior car and streets ahead of the Leaf in drivability, sense of occasion, technology and unique build structure. But as you say, stupid money. Not helped by the fact the dealer offered 2k below trade and not a penny off the i3.

Needless to say the green comment is right, the electricity still has to be produced but with a unit of electricity around 16p and 4 miles to a kWh equals 4p a mile. If you were paying £1 a litre you would need to get 115 mpg to pay 4p a mile. So still better. And that's with paying for all your electricity, with the free chargers it's even cheaper.
