Shifter in M/S doesn't spring back to Park when P pressed?

Anyone else have this ?

Hmm mine works fine with a single click of the P button

Agree, Hmmm!  Car stopped, foot on the brake or handbrake on?

Also, does it jump to park from D or R  when the engine is switched off?

No it stays in Park but doesn't spring back right :(

Get the fault codes read. Sounds like it could be the gear selector control box going by your other posts too.

I have seen this a few times at work it is normally a gear selector switch, I would agree with getting the faults checked to be safe. Hope this helps

Suspected gear selector
Although looking at realoem and Indy flagging up it would be a replacement gear selector
Is there a replaceable switch?

If my understanding is correct the 'switch' is in the control box attached to the bottom of the gear selector so you end up with a whole new unit.

Looking at diagram it looks like whole new unit
