PS3 Install

Hi Guys,

I had planned to install a ps2 in my car and use it as a media centre. But after speaking to someone at an audio shop he suggested a PS3 might be easier and less hassle as there would not be a need for modding or ir repeater etc. So i have planned to place the ps3 in the boot and build a small enclosure around it to stop it moving. I hope to document it all so i can make a how to guide for others. I have one small issue though and hope someone with more knowledge can help.

I know i need a power inverter to make it work and i have a ps3 slim so have found a continuous 300w inverter should do the trick. However i would prefer to buy a moderated power inverter to save money obviously but is it worth getting a Pure Sine Wave inverter instead? If i can make it work with a normal inverter i would do that unless it is too risky or not going to work at all.
