What is this warning..?

My wife just sent me a picture of a warning light that came on today.
As I'm away working I found an online manual but it wasn't there.

Any ideas?
It's a 2008/12 X-Drive 35d

From memory I think it means a service is due soon?

Never seen that one before. Mine needed a service last week and it came up with the more helpful message "service due"

As IQ says, it needs a service. If you leave it too long then it goes red!

pvr...the warning goes out very quickly (5secs or less) but the iDrive message does indeed stay a while longer.

Is that the one for 'yearly inspection' ie. MOT?

Does that not come up with 'Inspection' in the iDrive? I can't remember now, but it is the same symbol.

On my iDrive the Inspection shows for March for mine, but there is nothing on the front screen. I.e. I have to go in the iDrive to see it.

You get this if your battery is low, look for a warning on your Idrive under status.
This will show the warning symbol, highlight this and it will tell you what is wrong.

I had this symbol regularly as I only did short journeys, and it "hammered" the battery.

Thanks guys, I will get the wife to look through the iDrive and see what is due.
Shouldn't be the MOT but possibly it isn't set correctly.

Strange warning light however, "Service" would have been better.

Agreed it's an odd symbol. Looks like it should mean: WARNING - you are parked on a pedestal!
