I have a vague recollection that there was a post some time ago about a set of fuses for the car that could be purchased via the fleabay and when the fuse blows it lights up. Or am I mistaken - anyone got nay info or links?

ATO Smart Glow fuses are what I think you mean?  They have a little LED that lights when the fuse 'blows'.  Never used them though.

I remember the post, the guy was having trouble scanning his car though, the scanner couldn't find the transfer box module, I said maybe fuse 32 or 34 had gone he said it hadn't because he had light up fuses and they said all ok. Turns out it had gone and wasn't signaling. So maybe not bulletproof

You also need to have the ignition on to check them......

It was one of my posts, so check my previous posts. I also worked out how many and the amperage of fuses required.

Good man thank you - all problem free. No blown fuses that didn't light up?

How long do you think it would take my footman to swap them over from the existing ones? An hour?

I just bought a batch of these light-up fuses from e-bay
& swapped out every one on my X5...

I tested the concept by putting a 2.5 amp fuse in the head-lighting slot, the fuse blew instantly the lights turned on.... as expected & the fuse lit up like a Christmas Tree...

Excellent, a result............ & will save a lot of buggering about in future me thinks....

such a simple, but helpful concept..
