Removing Rear Airvents

Post by noxid1969 » Sat Jan 31, 2015 3:42 pm

I have just spent the last hour trying to remove the rear airvents but with no success, the fasteners are hidden behind the carpet that lines the transmission tunnel. Does anyone know how this comes off or is there an easier way to remove the vents. I am trying to add back the direction adjusters which have been kicked off by little feet in the back.

Any assistance appreciated!

Have you managed to sort this? Mine have suffered the same treatment...

Open the centre console and pull out the tray.
There are 2 screws on the top pointing backwards.
Remove those and then the vents will push out.

Putting back requires a little fiddling to get it inside the pipe but the best way is be gentle.
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

Took me hours the first time looking for screws and how to get the tray out..
I was a bit miffed when it turned out so easy!!!

You need tray out so its easier to line it up with the pipe.

Has anyone got a photo of the screws, nothing seems to come out in the centre console and I can't see what I am supposed to be undoing as the console seems one piece of plastic.

Help!
