Hi,i closed the drivers door as normal and when i came to open it it will not open,i have climbed through passenger side and the door CANNOT be opened from inside either,any ideas how i can open door,can the door card be removed with the door shut.I suspect the locking mechanism is u/s?

The door card can be removed with the door shut but it is ARPITA and you have a good chance odf damaging it.(they are about £500 new or some stupid price from the dealers)
I had to do it on my last x as the door mech had condensated and rusted.

I have already replaced the door carrier and removed the card in december,is there any other way of opening the door without removing door card

Not to my knowledge if the handles don't work.Is it really cold where you are? i ask as if its frozen etc it may thaw out with some help....probably stating the obvious here but Just a thought.

Have just managed to remove door card,does anyone know how to remove door mech? i cant see any bolts to remove it

It's been a long while since i did mine but i never actually took the mech of. I got it open by using a flat headed screwdriver and fiddling around untill i unlocked the door (technical i know ) once it was open i could see the prblem was rust so treated it with wd40 etc and never had the problem again.

Glad your sorted now a how too is a great idea take a few pics when doing the job

As a preventative measure is there an easy way to squirt a bit of WD40 at the mechanism without stripping the door panel off?

My drivers side seems a bit stiff.

not really the mech you want to squirt is on the inside of the door sill,it is not a difficult job to remove the door card
