How many phones

Post by MSPORTBMW » Sun Jan 25, 2015 6:12 pm

Hi....I have a 2009 x5 and just wondered how many phones can be connected to the car at the same time. For example...If me and my wife are in the car with both phones paired, will whoever gets a call be able to speak through the cars built in mic? Or will only 1 of the phones be able to use the cars blueTooth.
Cheers

Up until recently I've had to have two phones on me and while it's fine to "pair" multiple phones to the car I'm fairly sure only one can "connect" to the car at any one time. I await other experts to correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it's basically who ever gets connected first as I think it will only run one connection at a time, that's my experience with the x5 and past bmw's and usually the wife gets connected first! I may be wrong but that's how's it all ways seems to work for me

Only one, but you can have a second bluetooth phone/device streaming music at the same time.
