door seals and door handles sticking

OK, with the colder weather and sub zero temperatures a few times lately I have went out to my car in the morning to find either my door handle very stiff/frozen or/and the door seals frozen to the car, anybody got an suggestions what to use that can prevent this? And garage isn't an answer I'm hoping for although it would be nice.
I have had an E53 before and have replaced the carriers before so I don't want to pull too hard on the handle for fear of breaking the carrier or damaging the seals on the doors, I could pour some warm water on the door but wondered if anybody had used anything else? I thought about a thin film of grease round the seals but not sure if that is a good idea?
Any thoughts?

Wipe a silicon based lubricant onto the door seals.  I use 3in1 silicon spray onto a cloth and then just wipe it on.  Door handles are trickier but you could try that, or graphite powder if you can get some.

Vaseline on the door seals works, used to do that in Canada when it got properly cold!

thanks for the replies, doors haven't been so bad of late but if the frost gets harder again I will give these ideas a go :)

I've had good results just smearing a film of de icer on the seals each time I scrape the windscreen. Hasn't killed the seals yet either!

I use swissvax seal feed. Not cheap but works very well. A little goes a long way and it last for over a year. Need to re-apply last year (2 years since last application).
