Help with specification for X5

Hi All
I am purchasing a new X5 3.0TD, and they have a couple of pre-reg models that seem good value over ordering a custom spec, but are fixed specs.
I wonder if you can give me some feedback on which are worth having?
Spec 1
ZGF Dynamic package
3AG Reversing Assist camera
402 Panoramic glass sunroof
420 Sun protection glass
430 Ext. mirrors - folding, auto dimming
488 Lumbar support, driver and front pass.
4UB Third-row seating
Spec 2
Msport model
HUD
I am a bit confused about the suspension options, given I am all for a comfortable rather than sporty ride, does having the Dynamic package add value, or is it all covered in the M Sport version? Are the sports seats worth having? Do I really want the ability to adjust the suspension, or is it a gimmick?
Also I have seen comments on the 19" wheels, should I get them upgraded to 20", does it really make it a better ride?
Some help understanding the comfort options would be great, I would like to go back to the dealership with the knowledge in hand if possible.

Comfort Seats are the most comfortable (and expensive) option. Sport seats just hug you in the right places to hold you in place. Personally I find them uncomfortable for long journeys and I have Comfort seats in mine.
MSport suspension is not to everyone's taste as it is reportedly very harsh. MSport suspension delete gets around that issue. Runflat tyres and sport suspension appear to be a concern for some. Try versions with and without before you commit funds.

Thanks Richard - I see a lot of differing opinions about the suspension, the car I had for the day had M sport suspension which seemed OK, but I haven't tried the other options to try them out. I will see if I can get a test drive with the normal options.
I will probably have to forgo the comfort seats, but general seats sound better than sports seats for long journeys, so again will take a look

I've always had the Sports seats and find those on the F15 very comfortable. I had them on the E70 and would say that the F15 Sports seats are more comfortable than the E70 sports seats... so those that say the sports seats are not comfortable may not be talking about the sports seats you are looking at.
On increasing the wheel size, thats going to make the ride harder not better (unless harder is what you are after!).
On the 2 specs youve listed the camera and sunroof are must haves for me, but I'd want them on an Msport lol.
The sunroof in particular makes a huge difference to the cabin, making it much lighter inside, even if you won't often open the thing.
I've never had the HUD - and I suspect its the sort of toy you don't miss until you've had it.
Enjoy looking.

Not everyone will agree with this, but adaptive cruise, surround camera, and Harmon/Kardon speaker upgrade are all worth it if you can IMO.

Just remember you will be the second owner , do a we buy any car value some one just got a quote for a 6 month old one with low mileage it had dropped £20,000 so make sure you get a lot off !
Other thing to note you are getting some one else's spec not your own , takes a bit of the shine off a new car .

I'm not so clued up on the F15 but certainly the sunroof is a very nice option to have
Never had a problem with sports seats.
F15 rides a lot smoother than the E70 so wheel choice may not be so critical.

I'd def agree on the camera and the speaker upgrade - the standard speakers are pants. Never had adaptive cruise :-\

I've got adaptive cruise now and I could take it or leave it
Not sure I'd spend on it again and consider this..........

Thanks everyone - some useful tips. I did look at some ex-demo and 1 year old models, but I have to say that on auto trader they seem to hold their price, no one seems to be selling at the bargain prices I thought, given the second hand prices some of you have mentioned on the forum. Nearly every nearly new X5 is being sold by a dealer so the difference between that and new is not that great.
