6-cyl Diesel version availability

I've asked my local dealer but he does not know, so just wondering if any of this esteemed group has any idea of a date for the availability of the new X3 3.0d 6-cyl version into the UK? The only results I got from seaching the interwebs, was sometime in 2011 which is a little vague.... 
I'm looking to possible replace the E53 with one of these as they're nearly the same size and a £20k cheaper option than an E70 - well that amount depends upon HRH's specification requirements of course.
