2015 Meet-Ups

Do any of the guys / girls meet up on-mass at any venues or race circuits etc...

I was with a Crossfire group once, they had regular meet-ups all over...

I'm in Salisbury, but work in the West Mids, and it would be really good to meet some of the names here, compare notes and pick up tips and fix-it advise..

Penny for your thoughts ??

We have them down south

I go through stages of being on track at Silverstone quite a bit so I said I would let people know when I was there and there was then a suggestion to meet up there with it being quite central

Hi Grant, I'm in Amesbury, not far from you, work near Fareham.  I've got diagnostic software (INPA, GT1, DIS etc) and the rear subframe bush tool, along with plenty of general tools, so always happy to meet and help out where I can.

Hi Dave,
I'm in Salisbury this weekend, 5 miles from you. Want to meet for a beer and a chin wag this week end ?
I have one pressing "need" for my X5.... to fit a pair of straight thru silencers to my diesel machine...

I have bought all the bits, brackets, pipe adapters, clamps etc necessary & a fab new Dewalt chop-saw, just lacking a place to work on the beast that is DRY...

Know of any where I can borrow for a couple of hours ??

Hi 535DBoy,

Silverstone sounds good...
Maybe we can compile a list of contact mails of those interested and come up with a date there, to coincide with a function weekend, that allows for a wander about and an event that doesn't cost the earth to get in ?

Penny for your thoughts ?

I'm always up for a meet. Depends on timings and distance but don't mind travelling.

I keep saying I'll try and organise one but at the mo constantly busy to try and sort a decent location etc.

Hi Grant,
My first task for the year is to finish clearing my garage so I've got somewhere to work that's dry, been doing everything on the drive in front of the garage for the last 6 years. Ironic really given the first job I did on the house when we bought it was to paint the garage and fit it out so it would be a good workshop!
Busy this weekend with jobs around the house and kids things, but yes meet up for a drink and chin wag in the near future.

Hi Monty,

I will renew this post as the weather warms up and try to get a little band of warriors together for an event going on some where.

I Live in Salisbury, but work in the West Mids / Milton Keynes, so I'm fairly central for a lot of potential events.

With previous makes of vehicles, eg Crossfires, there were several meets a year at the Castle Coombe Race track, as the Crossfires were track capable in standard road form so a good time was had by all,
and there were often Classic Car events that were worth seeing, and we would get a discount as a Classic Road/Race Car, like Porsche etc
The Crossfire rabble would seize a floor at the nearest Premier Inn for 2 nights and have a good chin wag, and some times a BBQ on the site if the sun shone.

Maybe we could do some thing similar ?

Any thoughts ?

Just watch the 2 hour free parking limit then they get you for a lot more!

you're right it is an invoice (for allegedly being in breach of contract) - it is not a fine. Even if they are issued in a yellow and black plastic wallet with chequered flag print to make you think it is official.

However....... ignore at your peril. Some will and do pursue you. Some have got away with it and some (but relatively few) have been taken to court (some win, some lost)

Totally agree. Dad got one - ignored every letter, phone call etc., they eventually sent a fake County Court summons. It's BS so file it in the recycling bin.
