Bought another BM

Post by glmec » Mon Dec 22, 2014 10:00 pm

Got this 330ci a few weeks back as a 2nd car. 9yr old, fsh, 2 owners, 60k on the clock and its absolutely mint. Not blisteringly fast by any means but definitely got enough to have some fun. Sounds nice too.

Looks fantastic! I love the colour match with the X5! - Are they exactly the same colour?

It's no slouch either! Our 2005 330Cd Conv is pretty quick and has bags of torque.  Gives most cars a decent run for their money up to 70mph - and beyond.

Ta for the positive comments.

Sunny- if memory serves I think the X5 colour is called sterling grey but could be wrong on that, dont know what colour the 3 is but its just a shade or 2 lighter than the X
Xsport- know what you mean about it not hanging about. The delivery is just so progressive and smooth and keeps on going. In reality im probably going faster in it than I appreciate. Before the 3 i had a mapped tt225 (prob shouldnt fess up to that on a BM forum but oh well i liked it & no im not an hairdresser!!) It felt faster than the 3 but maybe wasnt.
Ice- really nice of you to say, cheers. Did a fair bit of searching before I bought either of the BM's but there are some real nice older ones to be had.

Cheers Gav

Looks mint, still think the E46 is the best looking 3 series so far. We had a325i E46 a few years ago, never missed a beat, my mate bought it of us and ran it for another 3 years. The only problem he had was a window regulator went, apart from that he sold it for a grand less than he paid us for it. Not bad for 3 years motoring.

I think Richard is referring to the golf-tee mod to make the exhaust throatier

Nice car indeed, and 231 hp is not bad at all.

The X is Sterling Grey indeed.
