& it's goodbye from me :-)

Hi, just thought I'd pop in to say goodbye !
We sold the X5 today :-(  Unfortunately our Husky is now 13 years old & has cataracts & can no longer jump into or out of the boot so we needed something lower & have bought a 13 plate Audi A4 Avant Quattro Black Edition. 2.0 diesel 177ps. The X5 will be a hard act to follow & the Audi, although well equipped doesn't have some of the goodies the X5 had like memory seats & heated steering wheel but I'll learn to slum it.
We bought the X5 3.0 diesel auto in Sept 2009 when it was nearly 4 years old with 28k miles. Now showing 67k miles so you can see we don't go far in it ! Problems in that time have been very few, auxiliary heater replaced & PAS pipe plus CV boots, all done under warranty, since then the only other none  service item has been a door handle carrier. Other than that it's been serviced on schedule & had tyres & brake pads & that's it, can't really fault it.
If anyone wants an excellent 55 plate X5 sport edition in le mans blue with 20" staggered alloys check out Prestige performance Yorkshire as that's where I part exchanged it. I cannot praise then enough, fantastic place to but a car & Mathew was extremely helpful.
I'd like to thank this forum & the people on it, although I haven't been a regular I have found it extremely useful while owning my X5 so keep up the good work.
As for me I'm off to the dark side to find an Audi forum that is as good.
Take care & goodbye. ( I maybe back one day as I would have loved a newer X5, maybe in the future :-)
Kind regards, Phil.

Take care, and no need to be a stranger.  We've got other Audi drivers on here and look how much fun they have.... :P

Yes, good luck with the Audi. We recently got one as well (also for our dog), so it is starting to get a bit of a dog image here.

No need to leave, you can keep 535dboy company as he has an entry level A4 as well.
