Noob saying hello.....

Hello all.
Have owned my 2004 X5 for a week now and am loving it so far! (although the wife seems to be driving it more than me!)
Had a few different cars over the years, and my most recent was a 1991 Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI....so I have swapped classic retro motoring for a bit of comfort! It has made a welcome change!
The version I have is a 2004 3.0D X5 Sport in Sterling Grey with black Nappa leather interior. Has 114,000 on the clock, full BMW service history, Pano sun roof refurbished wheels, etc etc...
I have had a quick flick through your forum, and found some handy hints and tips already, so rest assured I will check for any questions that may have already been asked and answered before asking them again! ::)
Few things on the 'to do' list, and the priority is either to replace or upgrade the existing head unit ( i have the full screen version). It needs the digital modification to make the TV work for starters, and for some reason the rear speakers don't work, so need to look into that. Would also like to add some form of Ipod connectivity. Found this on ebay..any thoughts?

Other than that a few cosmetic odds and sods that need to be sorted, like a small cracked plastic grill at the front, and replacing the steering wheel trim, there are no other plans...at this stage...and am going to enjoy some comfortable motoring for a change!
