Hey all, does anyone know the part number for the passenger door actuator.  Mine has stopped working and i dont want to get to the point where it fails completely.

Ive tried looking at the mechanical diagrams but no luck.

Thank you

Sorry if that's not it, but have a look cos I think it is.
I'll surely be corrected if (when) I'm wrong.

Thanks IQ, that looks like the one.  Ill call BMW up monday and order one.  Everything is working including the central locking switch and hazards and interior lights are coming on so im guessing the actuator is kaput.

Is it the carrier that is the problem ?

The door still opens and closes fine.  I have to get in the drivers side and open the interior door handle until the black pg pops up for the locking and then you can access the door inside or outside.  Its a bit of a bugger when i forget to lock it though and it stays open all night!!!!!!

So it's the central locking actuator that's not working. I misunderstood your post. Could Ba a number of causes, Brocken wire, bad connection etc etc. have you removed the door card to see if it's anything obvious before you go out and buy any parts. I never had the door cards off mine when I had the E53, so don't know if the actuator is easily accessible to see if it's a power / wiring issue, or something mechanical. Or a failed unit.
