Looks quite cool but coming from Poland it will probably fit like a foot in a glove, so body shop bill could be a bit steep.

saw one on a silver x5 a couple of weeks ago and I thought it looked nice,pretty much looked like it could have been oem but obviously its aftermarket, for sake of £50 I have ordered one and getting it painted along with the damage/scuff to the rear bumper, can always just put it back on flee bay if it doesn't look right.

For me it's a personal touch. I don't think it looks too bad but it does depend how the rest of the motor looks.

I have one of these fitted on my Black X5,
It actually works re reducing rear end noise thunder at high speed, and pushes the arse down securely at +100mph..
Additionally, I got less rear end window crud in soggy weather also.

Mail me privately for pictures & a fone number, as there are a few small issues fitting it - but nothing difficult.
Colour matching is easy as perfectly matched colour cans are available from Halfools + lacquer etc...

And you have to take the primer OFF the spoiler on the mounting foot-print area each side, as the primer will let go with the forces with air speed & pressure and it WILL come off.... so, adhesives are critical here...

Mine has been on for 6 months and is secure still, even with Autobahn driving at + 135mph.... it's still securely attached.... but the driver is slightly unhinged lol ha ha.

Re looks on the vehicle....
My X5 has a Tuffy look, with big wheels, mudflaps, steps, Bull-bars, splitters etc, so the extra body parts look good - in my view any way...

Some oink scraped my rear bumper the other day so going to get the spoiler painted along with that and a small scratch/dink in the bonnet.
I think the spoiler comes with bolts but I will probably lose those and use "Tiger Seal" to bond it on,I'm also looking at getting a 4.6 bottom rear splitter for mine if it will fit??

Hi Paul,

I have the rear bottom splitter fitted already as-well, and some good pics...

The add-On top spoiler is stuck on - suggest No-Nails... as sealers will move with the air speed pulling on the spoiler, also the concept of how to fit & stick does require some fore-thought, and will tell all on the fone if you wish..
It will NOT come with bolts, and once fitted will require sealing around the mating edges to keep the joint dry and secure..

*** Don't under estimate the amount of force that 80mph of air will have on this part !!!!!

The rear valence splitter will arrive in 3 parts, the 2 x splitter wings & the bottom edge panel.
I secured mine on with expanding plastic grommets, and the wings stuck on with No-Nails, then sprayed to hide the white join.
The splitter wings are fitted AFTER the valence trim is secure... + you will need an angle grinder with a sanding flap-disk to make it all fit properly.
It is an easy job, but needs doing over 3 days... 1 to prep & paint & dry, 2 to lacquer & dry, 3 to fit and bond... + over-night to secure & bond safely..
the wings will need to set over night before they will take 70mph of air stress passing them + the fact that air resonations from the wheels passing the splitters will add to this pounding...

Thanks for offer of help/advice Grant, I will let you know when it all comes together and give you a call  , I was rather hoping that I would be able to get the spoilers painted and just fit them but obviously now it seems they will need offering up and adjustment before painting, which is fine.

Re the spoiler...yes you can get it sprayed up before fitting...
No bolts, just glues & sealants....
Offer it up and ensure it is true & not warped...
I had to clamp mine to a bench jig to tease a warp out of it, due to being removed from the mould too soon, and jammed in a box...
It is most likely to be warped !!! be prepared for this... and it will take several days to gently twist a warp out.

On the mating surfaces, the glued surface should be totally paint free & lightly roughened AFTER a thorough de-grease with brake cleaner to remove any trace of mould-release-agent silicone...
****do not rough up without thoroughly de-greasing, or you will simply drive the release agent into the roughened area and it will never come clean !!!!! 
... but a paint edge overlap of 2>5mm onto the mating surface is good to allow the sealed edge to cover the painted area totally.

The rear Valence/splitter can be painted totally before fitting and trimming, as trimming happens once the valence cross panel is fitted securely.
