Creaking noise in the boot

Hello,

I have noticed when driving down the road not necessarily going over bumps there is a creaky noise coming from the boot somewhere. I have slid the cover over and it still does it. I have also got some silicone lubricant spray and sprayed all the rubbers round the doors and the boot but no luck.
Does anybody else have this problem?

Also, i have 4 zone climate control and the rear vents make a "cricket like noise" whilst they are running so i make sure they are turned off because they do my head in.

Thanks

It will be to do with your bump stops on the tailgate.  E53 used to do it aswell, trick was to slacken off and rotate 90 degrees!! or thicken them up with insulation tape etc.  Or buy new ones.

i had same problem 6 months ago.! is a post on here somewhere ? Stratstones put new seal around boot.! better but no joy, so they had it in for 2 days and they found this to be the problem.! service guy showed me and still to this day all ok.! BUT thinking now, if it was a common problem, you would of thought they tried that almost straight away

I just wrapped some insulation tape round the hooks and its fine. The hooks probably want adjusting somehow so they don't rub but i can be bothered with all that  :))
