New Oil Cooler in situ

A quick photo of the new oil cooler in situ - very vulnerable place, just below the rad, nicely placed to freeze up if ever there was a nice place for that In order to remove kanckered unit the workshop had to remove front bumper, then it was easy. As you are looking at the pic, the area that failed on the original was the left sideseam (drivers side) which simply blew apart, with catastrophic loss of oil. It stopped leaking when the ignition was switched off, so wasn't immediately visible until the car was running. Must have happened very suddenly indeed. Anyhow, that little piece of metal is £600+ worth so I do hope none of you suffer the same failure if your X is not under Warranty
