Lost 20p and towing

I'm sure others have experienced this. Left some coins on the cover for the cups and a 20 pence moved to the back and slipped under the rubber. Now I have a Shoosh every time it moves under the cup holders and the idrive.
I'm sure this must have happened to others or on the previous model, does anyone know if there is an easy way to take off the sliding cover or is it back to the dealer for an annoying rattle?
2nd question. I am knew to towing so I have the retractable BMW towbar fitted as we now have a horse box, the gap between the bar and the bumper looks really tight, is it? And should I inflate the tyres to the higher pressure when towing. The weight of the trailer with 1 horse will be 1.5 t with 2, 2 t.

Not sure about the 20p but as for tow bar, the gap I'm sure is as designed, remembering that the thickness off the bumper takes up a lot of the gap that you would have seen on other cars. As for the tyres, the manual will be the best source of information but I didn't when towing caravans. Remember the weight on the Towbar should be around 100kg give or take a little so not really that much.

Normal pressures should be fine. Having the right amount of forward weight is the important thing to ensure a stable trailer.

Centre of the towball should be between 65mm and 100mm from the plastic trim when extended. Not much, but that's what the spec requires.
You only need to increase your tyre pressures if your towball nose weight is at the upper end of the limit, and do not exceed the limit. If you have self levelling suspension then it will sort out most things anyway.

Thanks. It will be cautious reversing with the camera and a guide. There was no option for self levelling suspension that I could find when ordering.

Try loosing a 20p ünder a fixed seat in a lotus with a metal floor. That is what you call annoying!!!

I was going to suggest you bring the car to Yorkshire where they'd locate and remove a 20p in seconds - then I noticed your location flag

My advice is to leave it in there, but don't forget to include it as a selling point when you dispose of the car....

Thanks for the helpful advice but 20p is 20p but the console has to come out as the rattle and loss of money is too much to bear
The plus side, got the trailer home and left hand reversed it up the drive (eventually)
