Post by nickyboy2013 » Wed Nov 12, 2014 8:57 pm

Does anyone know are higher profile tyres more bouncy than lower profile i have 235/55/17 and sometimes i feel it can be quite bouncy at times  it could be the Berlin roads but wondered if anyone has any similar experience.

There is more depth between rim and road so basically yes but that would be assuming the higher and lower profile tyres compared were identical in terms of spec and condition.

Sidewalls vary between different specs/brands. Some tyres have softer walls than others and conversely some have stiffer walls than others.

As for run flats I don't know enough to comment other than to say that in the uk many didn't like the earliest versions and some still don't like the newer ones.
