Could regen interruptus explain white smoke?

A couple of times recently I suspect that I interrupted a regen sequence by parking my car peacefully in its garage. I suspect regen interruptus because the fan ran after shutoff and there was that slight characteristic regen odour in the garage (we have two cars with DPF).

After restart, I got a bit of white smoke that had a paraffin odour to it. In one case, the car had sit overnight but within 5 minutes was apparently hot enough to resume regen, if that is what is happening.

It's only happened twice so far.

Not noticed that with mine.  We're your starts on colder days?

Yes, brisk mornings. But not yet frosty.

Could just be the first starting smoke.......only happens in colder weather when the glowplugs fire up too.
