Sunroof - not the usual problem

Posted in general and not e70 problem as sunroof cassette's are common to all X5 models (OK so they have had some minor updates, but generally speaking.....)
Anyway:
There is some light scratching to main sunroof glass panel (on external surface). Scratch runs parallel to sunroof edge on passenger side and is about 3-4cm from edge. Length of scratch approximately 5-7cm to rear of sliding panel. Car has never had roof bars or load carried. I believe that the sunroof when retracting into cassette the glass is catching on something which is gouging / scratching the glass. Its difficult to visually inspect as you cant get eye level when retracting. Will attempt this with mirror and camera torch to video.
Had car in for inspection but dealer said nowt can be seen. My worry is that something in cassette make up or roof lining has dropped and catches glass with potential to keep scoring glass deeper. I am going to push for change under warranty (runs out Dec 14) just want to see if anyone has heard of a similar defect.
Feedback / thoughts welcome (tried o take picture to post, but glass just reflects like mirror and I ain't David Baillie )
