Webasto T100 remote compatible T80 Unit

Hello.

I have a Webasto T80 module (remote controller) in my car , it comes with the standard T80 webasto remote.

I have read that the T91 remotes are backward compatible.

Does anybody know if the T100 remote will work with the standard Webasto T80 module / Aerial please.

I recieved a reply from Webasto uk as follows to the question above:

There should be no problem with differences between the t80 and t100 units

So looks like a good option even if they are rebadged as different car makes

Will the T100 show the temp inside the car ?

Good morning.

I will pose that very question to the Webasto contact, ie with T80 controller (which is 'plug and play' straight into E53 wiring loom adapter) .

Apart from the functionality of the T80 remote, does the T100 remote show the temperature and other functionality (time setting) that superseded the T80 or is it limited to the T80 module functionality.

I would be surprised if it did but it is worth an ask I guess.

I'm using a T90/91 on mine and it works really well. Range is unbelievable and the flashing led to show its workng is neat but it would be good to be able to see the temp.

I dont think the temperature feature will work as that requires an additonal temperature sensor, however if you look at the following link:

It appears that the T91 and T100 recievers are nearly identical but for the temperature sensor and wiring:

So if you have the T91 there is a good chance it would require a minor change like cable  to power and temperature sensor and the T100 remote would return the temperature.

I am sure if someone who knows wiring diagrams and auto electrics looks at above pdf link they would know for sure or you may be able to work it out.
