Am at a loss with this one and hope anybody can give me some guidance.
I've owned a 58 E70 3.0d for a couple of years which was bought in Ireland and has been converted into a commercial vehicle for ROI tax reasons (Rear seats removed and bulkhead installed in line with the boot). Since I've had it there's been an error on the display saying "Rear seats not locked in position" and I've tried everything to reset it -even locating the garage that did the conversion. They said that it might be a faulty resistor and that they only way to know is to remove the bulkhead and replace it which will cost a fortune. Does anybody know a away to bypass this easily or anything else I should be looking at which might help solve?
Really appreciate any help you guys can offer,
thanks

Re: Rear Seat Lock error
I get the same error, if I lay a rear seat down/ flat and then when returning it back to the upright position, its not "clicked" into place correctly - a firm push of the seat will lock it in position and then the message goes.
