I'm going to fit rear dash cam to my X can anyone tell me where I can connect to a ignition live somewhere in the boot or tailgate area ,

There should be 1 at the radio module in the left hand rear compartment. Under the CD changer.
If anyone needs a front one I used the torch charging socket in the glove box for my dash cam ignition live and earth.

A good place to get the ignition live is from the unused (if you haven't got a tow bar) block connector which is tied to the loom in the wheel well. It's on the right hand side as you look in the boot, just to the left of the wheel chocks and tied to the harness that runs left-right and parallel to the bumper.
There's also a good earth connector (brown cable) in that connector block.
